What Counts As You

Track the whole brand, not one domain.

Most rank trackers know you as one domain. Nozzle knows you as a brand: every digital asset that carries your name in Google, counted as one, and every competitor defined the same way.

Report on your whole footprint in Google instead of just your website's share of it.

One "camping cookware" results page, seen twice. A domain rank tracker finds one listing. Nozzle finds the brand all over the page: a category page, two product cards with no URL, a video and a social profile. Fourteen properties make one brand, and the product listings alone are 2,558 keywords and 16,535 estimated visits a domain tracker cannot see. Competitors are defined the same way, and one added today arrives with its history.

The power of brand properties.

01

Any digital asset can be part of your brand

A brand can be made up of any of the following digital assets:

  • Domains, subdomains, or subfolders
  • Google Business Profiles
  • Merchant name in product results
  • X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Reddit
  • YouTube channel, and every video on it
  • Amazon storefront, eBay store, Walmart Marketplace
  • Articles mentioning your brand or company
  • And more
How to add a brand and its properties
The Brand Properties table in Nozzle for a single brand, with Brand Property, Keywords, Share of Voice % and Estimated Traffic columns. Eight rows sorted by keywords. Domain: rei.com leads with 3,869 keywords, 2.6% share of voice and 41,914 estimated traffic. Subfolder: Category follows with 3,011 keywords and 15,243, then Merchant Name: REI with 2,558 and 16,535, Subfolder: Product with 672 and 2,602, and Subfolder: Learn with 562 and 2,659. The last three rows are a Facebook profile with 77 keywords and 316 estimated traffic, a Twitter profile with 10 and 13, and a YouTube channel with 1 keyword and no estimated traffic; share of voice rounds to 0.0% on all three. A footer reads All 8 Brand Properties.

Product packs and local listings count, even without a URL

Some results carry no URL and are invisible to rank trackers that only look at domains.

  • Product results: Nozzle reads the merchant name at the bottom of the product card.
  • Local results: Nozzle matches the listing to your Google Business Profile.
The merchant analysis report and its query
A Google results page for “camping cookware” with Nozzle Vision on and three results labelled. An REI organic listing at rank 2 shows Item Rank 0, an empty Merchant Name, and the Url https://www.rei.com/c/camp-cookware. Below it a Popular products pack at rank 3 holds ten product cards from Walmart, REI, DICK’S Sporting Goods, Sea to Summit, Stanley and a Walmart marketplace seller. Two of the cards are REI’s, a GSI Outdoors kitchen set at item rank 2 and an OXO frying pan at item rank 6, and each is labelled with Merchant Name REI and an empty Url.

Competitors are brands too, with all of their assets

Every competitor's domains, storefronts, channels, and merchant name are already in the SERPs Nozzle has stored for you.

Adding one costs nothing, there is no cap on how many, and the data fills in from the first day you tracked the keyword.

It is also what makes a fair comparison possible. An enterprise brand may want to compare a specific subfolder to a matching subfolder on each main competitor's site. The project compares the right section of every site for the right bucket of keywords, instead of one whole domain against another.

Six rows cover three retailers at the same level of detail, a category subfolder and a product subfolder each. REI.com Category leads with 3,007 keywords and 15,218 estimated traffic, then Walmart Product with 2,064 and 10,733, Walmart Category with 1,616 and 9,627, REI.com Product with 672 and 2,609, Dick's Sporting Goods Category with 941 and 342, and Dick's Sporting Goods Product with 263 and 89. A footer reads All 6 Brand Properties.

The whole brand, or one asset at a time

By default every dashboard reports on the whole brand, all of its properties combined. Narrow it to one property and the same dashboard reports on that asset alone: one subfolder, one social profile, one YouTube channel.

Below, the Keywords table for one brand, then for its Facebook page alone. The Top URL column flips from the site to facebook.com, and the ranks are the page's own.

Two captures of the Keywords table on a Nozzle dashboard, stacked. In the first, Focus is set to Brand: breakthroughbasketball.com and four rows, three keywords with one tracked on both mobile and desktop, each list a breakthroughbasketball.com page in the Top URL column, with ranks 2, 3, 6 and 6. In the second, Focus is set to Brand Property: breakthroughbasketball.com - Facebook and four keywords each list a facebook.com/BreakthroughBasketball URL, with ranks 1, 3, 8 and 10. Segment is Unpaid in both.

Common workflows

Where the brand model does the work.

Give your videos a brand of their own

Import the videos on your channel and each one becomes a property with its own rank, traffic, and history. Keep them in a brand that holds nothing else and a team working on video presence in Google gets a report about the videos, not about a domain that outranks them.

What Nozzle parses from a video result

Count the coverage you earned

Paste in the URLs of the articles that mention you and the coverage you earned reports beside the pages you own. Guest posts, press placements, and the review sites that rank for your name all become properties you can watch as a group.

How to bulk upload URLs as brand properties

Every location's profile, in every market

A Google Business Profile per location is a property per location, so a brand with hundreds of them reports as one footprint and still breaks down to a single city when someone asks.
